Vintage French receipt for fine furs purchased by the Duchess of Maillé, 1920. Dated upper right.
This receipt gives a little insight into the lives of a French Duke and Duchess. The Duke of Maillé, born Gilles de Maillé de la Tour Landry (1893-1972) and the Duchess de Maillé, born as the princess Anne Marie Radziwill (1907-1995) divided their time between their luxurious Paris apartment and their castle in Chateauneuf sur Cher shown in the attached image.
Original vintage receipt on paper displayed on a white mat with a gold border. Mat fits a standard-size frame. Archival plastic sleeve and Certificate of Authenticity included. Artwork, 6.75″L x 8.25″H; mat, 12″L x 16″H.
