Beautifully hand colored aquatint etching of several figures scaling the edge of a jagged landscape, 1813. Titled and dated in lower margin. Shows early rock climbers in the infancy of alpine mountaineering.
Antique artwork on paper displayed on a white mat with a gold border. Mat fits a standard-size frame. Archival plastic sleeve and Certificate of Authenticity included. Artwork, 10″L x 8.25″H; mat, 20″L x 16″H.
